Job Description for Engineer:

Qualifications:

Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience / B.E. (Freshers may apply)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and on-ground supervision for the implementation and maintenance of green product technologies, including biogas systems, solar fencing, and
    other renewable energy solutions.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of all systems (biogas plants, solar fencing, etc.) in coordination with field teams and vendors to ensure timely completion
    and compliance with project standards.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits and technical assessments to evaluate system performance, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions or improvements
  • Deliver hands-on training and capacity-building sessions for local staff, community members, and user groups to strengthen their operation and maintenance capabilities.
  • Develop simple, user-friendly manuals and operational guidelines in the local language to ensure proper understanding and effective use of technologies.
  • Prepare and submit periodic technical reports summarizing progress, field observations, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on rural technologies and renewable energy innovations to support sustainable and context-appropriate solutions.
  • Be stationed at the district level with frequent travel to project villages for supervision, training, troubleshooting, and technical support.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 4–5 years of relevant HR experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and separation processes aligned with organizational needs
  • Design and implement structured performance management systems to drive accountability, goal alignment, and employee development
  • Develop and strengthen the organizational structure by supporting role clarity, reporting frameworks, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, statutory requirements, payroll regulations, and internal HR policies; oversee timely filings and regulatory adherence

Job Description for Legal Officer:

The Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) is the single largest Central Trade Union for the women workers in the informal economy in India with a membership of 3.78 million members across 20 States of India.

SEWA invites applications for a Legal Officer from experienced professionals with legal background and experience of 15-20 years. Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Law with thorough knowledge of legal terminology, documentation and compliances may apply. Female legal professionals with the required expertise will be given preference.

Work Profile:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Legal Professional with experience to support  SEWA’s operations. The ideal candidate will need to work with the legal team to ensure compliances with applicable legal and statutory requirements, draft correspondences, including legal correspondences, and manage all types of admin related legal coordination, liaison and maintain rapport with the Government officials and authorities as required, draft, format, proof-read and edit documents, including contracts, agreements, affidavits and other submissions, track related meetings, schedules and follow-ups with lawyers and officials and represent the organization when required and independently handle assignments.

Required Skills:

The candidate should be well- versed in local laws also and statutory compliances, possesses very good written and verbal communication skills in Gujarati and English, a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in their work with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Functional computer skills will be an added advantage for the candidate.

Ek is SEWA’s women-led rural homestay and community tourism initiative that creates sustainable livelihoods while preserving local culture, crafts, agriculture, and traditions. The
program partners with grassroots communities, government agencies, and private-sector platforms to build an inclusive and ethical tourism model.

Role Overview

SEWA seeks an experienced professional to lead and expand the Hum Sab Ek initiative in GOA. The role combines strategic planning, program management, partnership development, and
close engagement with rural women’s collectives. The position requires strong leadership skills, cultural sensitivity, and experience in livelihoods or community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and oversee implementation of the Hum Sab Ek initiative across region of GOA.
  • Support expansion while maintaining quality, safety standards, and community ownership.
  • Work closely with SEWA members and field teams to strengthen capacity in hospitality, digital tools, and enterprise management.
  • Build and manage partnerships with government bodies (SRLMs, tourism departments), private platforms, and institutional partners.
  • Oversee homestay onboarding, listings, guest experience standards, and safety protocols.
  • Guide teams through challenges and crises with adaptive, community-centered solutions.
  • Track progress, document learnings, and prepare reports for leadership and partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate degree in Development Studies, Rural Management, Tourism, Social Entrepreneurship, or a related field.

The Coordinator will be responsible for managing the team of the experienced grassroot leaders coming from the community for the unorganised sector women workers in Bhavnagar. She will be overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities related to organising and development there.

This role requires a highly organised and proactive individual who can lead and manage teams, be responsible for campaigns and engaging the communities with related events and programs.

She should have strong passion to work for the cause of the poor women workers of the informal economy.

She should have effective communication skills with required political awareness and ability to work independently as well as in team. She should be able to mobilise groups of people. This position requires extensive local field work and should have readiness to travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the team of grassroot leaders, oversee the coordination, planning, execution and monitoring of the activities related to the campaigns, awareness and ongoing programmes.
  • Develop detailed monthly plans, including timelines and ensure its efficient execution.
  • Facilitate regular communication with the stakeholders, Government departments, employers/  contractors/ traders as well as other social partners so as to address and resolve issues concerning to our members and leaders. Maintain regular coordination with them.
  • Coordinate with other team leaders and work collectively.
  • She should be able to plan and implement programs and along with the teammates.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the team members. And build congenial, collaborative and productive team environment.
